I recently wrote about the importance of writing down the non-obvious. The process of writing that essay prompted me to reflect on the things within my own life that feel non-obvious. One in particular that came to mind is how I read books: by reading two at once.
Hah - this reminds me of a parenting trick I read awhile ago: If you need your child to change his clothes before heading out, don't ask him/her to change but ask them whether they want to change into Outfit A or Outfit B.
I guess we're all just grown-up children afterall.
I've been trying to read more lately, I bought a Kindle and have been switching between the Kindle and Paperback to keep the experience novel! Though abit extra, this has helped me a bit :)
